Finally had cause to look smart, so donned this black dress and clack jacket. Looked a bit sombre so teamed it with exciting tights and a purple snakeskin print belt. The sleeves on the jacket are too long for some reason, who was it designed to fit? Oh well. Wearing flats as wanted to be able to walk.
The bulbs are all starting to show themselves now in the garden. Just hope the rabbit doesn't spoil any more. Little devil has nibbled too many already.
and now for the pear sponge pudding recipe, especially for The White Cabbage
Pear Sponge Pudding
Ingredients:
100g caster sugar
100g butter, softened
2 eggs
60ml milk
150g plain flour
5g baking powder
about 5 or 6 medium pears (for lots of fruit in the pudding)
Method
- beat sugar and flour together until pale and fluffy
- beat in eggs (ideally one at a time)
- mix in milk
- sift in flour and baking powder and gently combine
- quickly peel and cube pears roughly and put into greased cooking bowl
- if batter is not runny enough add, more milk
- pour over pears and put in preheated oven at 180 degrees c, 160 if fan oven, 350 degrees f, gas mark 4 for about an hour. test by stabbing top with a knife, if it comes out sticky its not cooked, when cooked it will come out clean.
- Enjoy!
Thanks for the comment, the thing that annoys me about Gok is his totaly disrespect for clothes. Does he really expect us to buy a new coat for say £40 and then cut it up. It's fine to cut up old clothe but not new!!! Than again he is probably trying to show us how we can make the best of what we already have in his wardrobe. I did enjoy the show last night but I think some of it ie hair bands on the shoulders is a great idea in principle but in reality no one is going to do that!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, lovely outfit here the tights are really cool!!
Hannah xx
The tights are lovely! Also just read Hannah's comment and I couldn't agree more. I think Gok is a little bit overrated...but he's entertaining to watch! :)
