Friday has come round all over again, so its time to answer the Friend Friday questions as set by Katy from Modlychic. This week its all about Blog content. So here goes with my take.
1. With all the blogging events out there how do you determine which
ones to participate in and which ones to avoid?
I’ve not been blogging long so bear that in mind! My blog is very much just about me so I’d say whatever takes my fancy. I decided to participate in 30x30 as I always feel lost when looking in my wardrobe. I need to start using what I’ve got instead of buying new stuff all the time. I would definitely avoid events which need more time than I can deal with or specialist stuff.
2. Be honest, have you ever jumped on the bandwagon of some blogging
movement/event for the wrong reasons? How did that turn out?
No, not yet!
3. How do you give your own flair to a blog event while still
maintaining the general mission and purpose?
Oh dear, this makes my blog sound far better than it is. When I started my blog it was because I was fed up of Facebook and wanted to push myself in a new direction. I wanted to write about what I like doing (fashion, cooking and gardening) and feel free to include what I want to say and take fun pictures. I feel like by blogging about what I’m up to keeps me on track. I don’t take outfit shots everyday as many times as I’d like, but try to several times a week. I want to improve how I dress, hopefully with some help from my lovely followers so 30x30 seems a great way to encourage my creativity.
4. When determining the best content for your blog what criterion do
you keep in mind?
I’m pretty easy about what I include on my blog. Its an outlet for me and my strange life. I’m not going to include anything completely inappropriate but I might include a few odd posts depending on my mood and what I’m up to. I’ve got not illusions about my blog becoming the next big thing. I would love to gather a few more followers along the way, or at least not lose any!
5. While everything will not suit your blog, how do you try and
support your fellow bloggers who are participating in something
worthwhile but not your style?
Here is Day 4’s outfit. I felt inspired (unusual I know) by some more manly looking outfits, so wore this blouse buttoned right to the top. I know, black polka dot blouse, navy jacket… Working with what I’ve got.
This is… errr the whitest Thai green curry possibly ever made! I bought this new green curry paste which last time I used too much so was too hot to eat. This time I used significantly less so was delicious, however it looks very pale! Yes, there are some onion rings on the side, yum!
So glad its Friday at last! The weather is significantly warmer here, but at a price, its howling a gale! Tomorrow still warm, but with heavy rain. Counting down the days ‘til Spring. Imagine bare legs and floaty summer dresses……
Very cute, the polka dots and the flower brooch are perfect together ;)

You made your own curry paste?! This sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI didn't really think about it, but I think that I have sort of abandoned facebook for the same reasons you did. It's far more enjoyable to have my blog as my little internet home!
i love that polka-dot top peeking out! polka-dots are always a great touch to a look!
ReplyDeleteOoh, polka dots! Cute!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had great reason for starting your blog. I hope you keep enjoying it!
