I’m pretty sure I’m going round in circles trying to put together outfits. Criteria: Not a combination I’ve blogged about before, and MUST be warm. This makes for limited choice. The cardi here, which my lovely Gran asked me twice if I knitted myself (sadly not) is warm apart from the daft 3/4 length sleeves. It cries out for a long sleeve underneath and the only suitable top I could find was this bright green one. I have to say these old Topshop trousers are so comfy to wear, it’s like they were made especially for me. The waist is not too tight yet doesn’t need a belt, a feat indeed. I got away with my beloved suede boots in town as once the frost faded away it was nice and dry.
Although I do seem to be suffering red-eye don’t worry, I’ve not been turned into a vampire. I’d let you know if I ever did make the ‘change’.
Christmas seems pretty much under control now. The main dilemma is what to have for starter on Christmas day itself. Homemade veg soup needs much practice and so far our one batch packed little punch. Eeek. Don’t really want to copy last year’s (and the year before’s) again. I just need to get a few letters written to lesser spotted relatives then I’ll be back on track.
Have a great weekend y’all.
What a comfy outfit! I love your cardi. :)

You look cosy and comfy in this get up. It's hard isn't it to revamp the casual outfits when it's so cold outside?
ReplyDeleteI'm so used to the Santa hat (which is super cute by the way) that it will seem strange to see you without it.

This looks cosy.
ReplyDeleteI have a but if a thing for 3/4 length sleeves at the moment, I layer two tops underneath and have each layer poking out from beneath the other one. I look a little like a liquorice allsort but I live it!
I have a lively recipe for butternut squash soup somewhere if you fancy trying it?
Ah I want that cardi, it just looks so warm! Last year we had spiced lentil soup for Christmas dinner starter which was lovely x
ReplyDeleteAll of your Facebook statuses about Christmas have been making me really happy and excited lately. I'm sure you can tell since I have "liked" all of them. Your Santa hat makes me Christmas obsession even worse. I just love it!
