Playtime!

I’m really coveting a playsuit although I know I own one, which I don’t actually think I’ll wear. I wandered onto ASOS.com and accidently found 6 I adore. None of which I think I could get away with wearing.

I’ve been on a shopping spree today and taken some pictures. I had a haircut too, yay, I love my hairdresser. I have plans to make a vlog too, but the whole process is harder than I thought! My camera records video but the sound is soooo quiet.

I do hope you’re enjoying the weekend. I feel a spending ban may be looming…

Vegging out

I’ve been so lazy today I really feel quite lousy about it. Coupled with the fact that the FBFF questions this week were about fitness, so I didn’t answer them. I really do virtually nothing. I am an active person but I can’t really see any way on Earth that I could fit gym time in and each local zumba class seems either fully subscribed or at a time and location I can’t get to. I’ll have to make a compromise or something. Its just plain unacceptable as things are.

So my outfit. This cute skirt has finally got its first wear. Its a bit shorter than I’d like so it won’t get worn on windy days. I love these tights. They’re nice and thick and the colour is one of my faves. I have realised I have almost no plain tops, so I wore this one which looks a little ropey now, so covered up  bit with my woolly cardi jacket thing.

I watched the Royal Wedding coverage on TV. What a spectacle. Even my husband decided to watch it all with me as he felt it was such an occasion. The beautiful Kate looked a perfect vision in her dress, it was a total fairy-tale. The balcony scene was so lovely, with all the crowds cheering. I felt very proud to be British. All that camaraderie. I did shed a few tears and had a good old blub. So many guests, have to say David Beckham has never looked hotter, phwar. And I’m gutted I missed the shots of Rowan Atkinson, I’m such a fan of his but I was making a cup of tea. How British.

Here are some way overdue shots of our veg. I say our, but my hubby planted them. I’m watching them grow. We have potatoes, beans, peas, lettuce, carrots, radishes, onions, spinach, and possibly other stuff I have forgotten. It all looks the same at this stage, but watch this space.

Looking forward to actually getting something done the rest of the long weekend. I realise I haven’t posted any proper cookery for weeks now, but that could be because I haven’t really done any. Need to get back.on.track.

One lovely blog

I have had such a wonderful week. I say week, I mean few days. Its all merged into oddness after all the time off. No complaints.

When I started blogging I had no idea how to find any other blogs. Now I’m inundated with so many great ones to read. I do try keeping up but I’m really sorry if I don’t make it to every single post you write.

Spots vs Stripes

Its really starting to bug me that this skirt wont show up very well in my pictures. I doesn’t really look this white. I wore this outfit on Tuesday. It was dull and looked like it was going to rain. You may well be able to see the copious amounts of pink blossom that is falling. So pretty, its like masses of confetti has been sprinkled. How lovely..

So its not my favourite look ever, but it not bad considering I picked up the items Monday night while slightly tipsy and hoped for the best.

Excitingly, tomorrow is the last day of work before the long weekend. I am half embracing the Royal Wedding, but I still don’t know if I’ll end up watching it. We’ll see.

I’m in the midst of writing letters this evening. Its not too late to to join in. In case you missed my advert the other day…

Exactly moi

Well Saturday was a fabulous weather day. It got up to 25.5 degrees C  according to the car. The sun was shining all day long and even the breeze was warm. I put on this Miss Selfridge dress for the first time. I bought it on eBay (as with most stuff I own). Its the kind of dress I can do anything in, its not going to blow up and reveal my pants and its slightly stretchy so I can move. In fact the only downside is that its too low at the front for my liking. I wore a black bra which you can probably see and indeed I must have been flashing it half the time I was in town earlier. I must do a little DIY on the straps to make this a bit more my style.

The colour is exactly what I love with the cutest butterfly design. Love it.

Back to the 70’s

I well and truly embraced the 70’s today. I got this tunic dress on ebay last week and adored the 70’s print and awesome loose billowyness and sheer sleeves. I bought this hat at TK Maxx several months ago. I saw it this morning it would go perfectly. I realise now that the cuffed jeans perhaps don't go particularly well but hey. tough.

I felt really good this morning, so I so I’ve kept my head in the shots even though I’m wearing no make up. It was chilly but sunny outside, so I didn’t stay out for long. I spent most of the day catching up on a bit of housework.

Its a 3 day week, looking forward to Thursday evening for another cracking 4 day weekend. Are we being spoiled or what…

I have so much posting material that needs editing and tidying. Some of it will no doubt be saved for a rainy day

On a separate note I’m on the lookout for UK pen pals,so if you’re aged about 20-30 and like a bit of letter writing, do let me know.

Burnout

I’ve been so busy seemingly doing nothing at all. How does that work. Anyway, I’ve been taking so many pictures so as I can post about it during the week. Today as I looked out of the window the sun was merrily shining, as it had yesterday, so I put this shirt dress on. I trot merrily outside only to find its freeeeeezing. So I took these 6 pictures then dashed in to put on a think pair of tights and a warm cardi.

So, as nobody ever reads my blog at the weekend, what ? you’re reading this? you could be the only one. So as I was saying, I will post so more stuff during the week. Including the two BBQ’s we’ve had so far.

Astonishingly I have noticed there are now 75 of you lovely kind followers. I love each and everyone of you, many thanks for reading my posts and even more so if you leave me a comment, its great to hear your feedback. For those of you having the bank holiday off tomorrow, enjoy! And those who have until next Tuesday off – grrrr, I’m jealous, but still, I only have 3 days of work before the next 4 day weekend.  Long live the good weather.
