FOTD (first for me)

I NEVER thought I’d be doing fotd shots, but I thought I’d risk taking a few shots yesterday to see how I looked in daylight. Not bad, as it turns out.

I sent off for a free Garnier BB cream sample via Facebook last week and it turned up rather quickly.

I thought, upon opening and finding they’d sent the ‘light’ shade, that it would be too light for me/there wasn’t enough cream/it would never cover my blemishes/wouldn’t suit me. All the usual. But it turns out I was WRONG.

I think it looks pretty natural, even and a suitable colour. I have a couple of spots it has covered rather well and has evened out my skintone a treat. The distinctly empty feeling sample sachets have more than enough for one application. They sent 3 sachets, so plenty to be getting along with.

The thing I don’t quite understand is how is this BB cream supposed to differ from foundation? I usually just slap foundation on after moisturising, no concealer ( I got lazy) so I’m using it in the same way. I will probably get myself a proper pot of this once my foundation runs low/the spending ban is over.

So there you have it. Minimal eye make up. Just the barest smudge of lippy on after having eaten. Hair doing it’s own thing.

  11. I've been using this, too! To me, it feels like a tinted moisturizer/primer, but I wonder if the more expensive brands have something extra in them? Lovely photos!

  13. I just bought some BB cream, I know what you mean how it isn't much different to Foundation but I think it is a bit lighter on the skin and for me anyway it matches my skin better than foundation.

I was sent a sample too- but I think I'm just too pale for even the pale shade!
