T’other weekend I went to Burnham Market International Horse Trials. By gosh there was a cold wind. I wrapped up in my faux tweed jacket and cap in order to try to ‘blend in’ with the posh people. One has to try.
I took a load of pictures which I wont bore you with so I’ll just share a few.
\/ ooops, someone missed the fence

Ahhhh, a gallop. I remember this feeling well, the wind in your face and the ground rushing past at a lightening pace.
I love Burnham Market! Haven't been for ages. Looks like a good day, great cap :)
ReplyDeleteI love those action shots!

I'm not a big fan of horses but I love going to country shows.
ReplyDeleteYou did well to keep warm and look good.
Absolutely love Burnham Market although I haven't been for a couple of years - love your action shots! :-) Being Lincolnshire born though my heart will always lie with Burghley Horse Trials (at the risk of provoking a Burghley vs Badminton war in the comments!)

Looks like a good day! Love the tweed flat cap!
ReplyDeleteIs BM the posh little villagey place with a random Jack Wills & the shop with all the hats?
ReplyDeleteI miss riding so much. I've not ridden for about 8 years I reckon, and even then it was just friends horses. When my dad moved out of Wales he sold my horse and I was so devastated, I may only have spent time with/on him during School holidays but he was such a a big part of my life! Riding across the mountains in Wales jumping random bushes for fun is one of my nicest memories!
Ohh this looks excellent, and so do you x
ReplyDeleteThat looks fun, and I am loving your tweed outfit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time, if not a chilly one. My youngest lovely horse riding, I'm too much of a chicken.

AWHHH looks so much fun, a bucket list for me is to go to a show. Living so close to Hickstead, it's silly we haven't been sooner. My aim this year is to get back into riding. I haven't riden for about 7 years now and I miss it SO much!!! Especially hacking. xxx
