Playing in sepia and fotd

6.4.12d6.4.12b6.4.12c6.4.12e6.4.12f

I’ve not really dabbled much in  photo effects. I usually just crop and resize, so I thought as this was a relatively retro inspired outfit that I’d give it a go with sepia. Personally I’m not loving the colour balance that much. I use paint.net (a free editing program I downloaded) that is a doddle to use, even though the husband has installed Photoshop Elements on my laptop. It’s way too complex for me and if it’s so darn special, why can’t I find the sepia effect option…?

6.3.12a

I have something of a post backlog, quite a rarity for me. I don’t much like mixing content or posting more than once a day. I know how much effort it is to keep up with all the blogs I follow; any more than one post a day and likely as not I wont read it. There is no point bombarding you with stuff!

PS. Some lovely lady stopped me – in a charity shop, obvs – to tell me she really liked my shoes. How nice, it made me smile.

the face is wearing garnier bb cream ‘light’, miss sporty powder ‘medium’, barbara daly blush (olllld), eye shadow from my beauty uk palette (no.1 I think), eye liner pencil (unknown brand), soap and glory mascara, lipstick is by 17 in ‘chocolate eclair’.

  6. I use pixlr - it has the fancy photoshopesque options and an 'express' option (crop, fix, insta/sepia/vintage tone it in minutes).

I love the brown tones in your make up today, lovely.

  7. It looks lovely, I like it! I'm annoyed my new camera doesn't do sepia! It does most other things!
I'd probably still read your blog and comment on more than one post a day if you did more as your's is one of the ones I will always check especially since you have always been such a reciprocally loyal reader of mine!
By the way, did you get my last letter, the one that came in an envelope made out of a Cath Kidston catalogue? It got a bit mangled in the rain when I was posting it (3 weeks ago?) so I was slightly concerned you might mistake it for junkmail!)

  13. Yea, photoshop is too complex for me and I don't understand the fuzz when all I need to do: crop, resize, adjust contrast, and sharpen I can do on my free photoscape.
I don't also use much photo effects/filters, though recently I've started to use the Vignetting filter and I like it.

Love the sepia effect on your photos. Sort of like old school style.
