I used the extra portion of beef hash (I made here) and added spices and kidney beans to make chilli for jacket potatoes.

I’ve not really been that smiley these past few days, looking like a miserable cow here too I’m afraid. Today started out with such promise of warmth yet by early afternoon the sun had all but been smothered by grey clouds. Thank goodness I found these footless tights in my bag, or you’d have my goose pimpled legs to ogle over as well arms. Brrr.

I present to you the second outfit with my new cardi shawl thingy. I rather like it! It also appears that I’m wearing paisley print two days in a row (although I think these are my only two paisley items). The pink trousers are back on, hurrah. (not sure I can convince you these are any kind of pastel shade…)
As you may recall, I’m in the midst of a 100 day spending ban (boo, hiss) but in a fit of craziness I BOUGHT these sandals in TK Maxx. They’re All Saints Spitalfields and were marked down to £20 from £145. Who was I to leave without them?
Bare legs for the first time this year! This dress was an over the winter buy from ebay. For the purposes of pretending I’m on trend this season I shall classify it as being pastel even though it’s predominantly paisley print. Do you remember ‘that’ dress I had to send back that was sheer (the one with bird print and an asymmetric hem) (if the answer is yes then you do know me well) well the hem on this is similar but different, but at under £4 much cheaper,
My wedges are making their first appearance this year too. I know it’s a blogging faux pas to bang on about the weather but personally I am closely tied to what it’s like out. I just can’t help it. Shine on!
When I was contacted by Fake Tattoos to ask if I wanted to sample a couple of their products my inner 12 year old shouted Hell yeah! so I immediately took them up on their offer. I jumped onto their website (www.faketattoos.org.uk) to take a look at their designs and was really impressed at their range! As I kid I was in no small way obsessed with temporary tattoos and collected all the free ones that came in boxes of cereal. I sometimes saved them for the right occasion, which of course never really came.
That brings me to the first design which I’m sporting is Viva La Vida, which if you’re not a Coldplay fan, means ‘live your life’. No bad message.
Here is the closeup. I love the font and wanted to stick it somewhere I would be able to see it.
Sidenote: I’m so chuffed that I can take outfit pictures outside in the evening and even more pleased with how my pictures turned out, somewhat moody.
It’s Monday, Inspiration Monday to be more precise. I am all but out of looks inspired by jeans and a jacket so I took another approach to this outfit. Here is Emma Stone:
And this is my take on it. I used the blue element and instead of floral shoes, I went for floral dress. Tenuous, granted, but I liked it none the less.
Another summer dress that has made its way back into my wardrobe. I had a bit of a sort out and moved all the summerwear back in. So bring on the weather to wear them all for.4
I nearly but not quite missed the FBFF spring link up today.
Spring to me is the sign of good things to come. A reason for optimism and finally some warmer weather.
My summer clothes can at last be put back into my wardrobe and get layered up while there is still a nip in the air. It’s a time for happy frolicking in the sunshine and basking in the new found warmth. We’ve got through the worst of things, now lets enjoy it while it’s good.
That was spring 2011, looking back it felt pretty darn good. Wishing you a wonderful spring 2012
